In 2025, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine identified the comprehensive restoration of communities affected by the war as one of its top priorities. This is a process of creating a modern, safe, and energy-efficient environment that meets people's needs.
Olexiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, leads the team together with the State Agency for Restoration to work on important tasks. Coordination is carried out by Deputy Minister Artem Rybchenko.
The restoration project covers settlements from all corners of Ukraine, allowing for specific conditions, scales of destruction, and local experience to be taken into account. The knowledge and approaches obtained will be used to restore other affected communities.
Results for 2025 and plans for the future
During 2025, repairs of housing, social infrastructure, modernization of water supply and electricity networks, as well as road restoration, were carried out. For 2026, the completion of construction and major repairs of specific facilities in Borodyanka, Posad-Pokrovsk, Yahidne, and Trostianets is planned. All works are scheduled to be performed using advanced technologies, taking into account accessibility, energy efficiency, and safety, which will enable sustainable community development and improve the quality of life for residents.
