At the last meeting of this year, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine with the heads of 30 largest banks and industry associations emphasized that banking services must be accessible to all. NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshnyi highlighted the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities and veterans are full users of banking services.

The National Bank is currently taking steps to ensure inclusivity in the banking system by introducing requirements for the accessibility of financial services for individuals with disabilities. In the future, the expertise of the accessibility of bank premises and services for people with disabilities will become mandatory for NBU inspectors.

“Services for veterans should not be an additional option, but a basic package of bank services,” stated Andriy Pyshnyi, Chairman of the NBU.

Additionally, the meeting discussed issues such as providing Ukraine with a zero-interest loan, maintaining the discount rate at 15.5%, developing lending and investment in government bonds, as well as plans for the euro-integration of Ukrainian banks.

The National Bank continues to support and develop the banking system, ensuring accessibility for all categories of clients, including people with disabilities and veterans. This is an important step in ensuring inclusivity in the country’s financial sector.
