Alexander Filin's Entry into the Myrotvorets Database

Former Shakhtar Donetsk footballer Alexander Filin has been added to the Myrotvorets website database. This action was taken due to his participation in a propaganda event called 'Wishing Tree' on March 3, 2026. On that date, prior to a Russian Cup match between FC Baltika and Zenit, Filin met with children of a Russian occupying soldier. The Myrotvorets Center is a Ukrainian non-governmental database that documents individuals considered to be threats to national security.

Alexander Filin, born on June 25, 1996, in Simferopol, is a product of the city's football system. He played for Shakhtar Donetsk's U19 and Shakhtar-3 teams starting in 2013 but left the latter in the winter of 2015. That same year, Filin signed with the Russian club FC Ufa and subsequently obtained Russian citizenship. On June 27, 2025, he joined FC Baltika Kaliningrad on a contract lasting until May 31, 2028.

Ilteryakova's Stance and Public Scrutiny

It is noteworthy that Russian gymnast Ilteryakova has also actively voiced support for the war against Ukraine on social media. She has liked posts featuring Vladimir Putin and Russian military personnel on Instagram. Ilteryakova follows the page of Nikita Nagorny, who is under sanctions from Ukraine, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union for supporting Russian aggression. Furthermore, she follows the page of Russian propagandist Shaman, who also faces sanctions from Canada, the EU, and Ukraine for backing the war. Ilteryakova liked Shaman's posts and follows a fan page for Alina Kabaeva, who is likewise sanctioned by numerous countries for supporting Russian aggression.

Filin's listing on Myrotvorets highlights the proactive stance of Ukrainian organizations in countering propaganda and support for Russian aggression. This step could have consequences for the athlete's career and underscores the critical importance of public figures' positioning during wartime. Cases like those of Filin and Ilteryakova demonstrate that society is closely monitoring the actions of influential individuals, whose conduct can shape public opinion regarding the conflict in Ukraine.

In a similar vein, recent developments have seen Ukrainian forces take decisive action against individuals linked to the promotion of aggression, such as the recent elimination of a Russian boxing coach with over two decades of experience training youth. This incident underscores the ongoing efforts to address the influence of those supporting the war. For more details on this significant event, you can read about it here.
