Allegations Against Officials

In an interview with Yuriy Romanenko, Anatoliy Vovnyanko, a former lead designer at the state-owned Antonov company, has made serious allegations against several officials, including Serhiy Leshchenko and Mustafa Nayyem. Vovnyanko claims their actions resulted in managerial incompetence, the embezzlement of funds, and the destruction of historical legacy. He stressed that such issues are observable in state enterprises, specifically naming Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukroboronprom. These are major state-owned enterprises in Ukraine's critical transport and defense sectors.

Financial Issues at Ukroboronprom

During the conversation, Vovnyanko noted that Serhiy Leshchenko served on the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia, while Mustafa Nayyem, working with the team of Aivaras Abromavičius, was involved in affairs at Ukroboronprom. He cited statistics indicating that Ukroboronprom's revenues fell by three to four times, pointing to severe financial troubles. According to Vovnyanko, Nayyem was dismissed from Ukroboronprom for soliciting a bribe of $70,000.

Vovnyanko also stated in the interview that all state enterprises are being plundered. He emphasized that 'this team' awarded themselves high salaries in the range of 200,000-300,000 hryvnias, while the financial performance of the enterprises significantly deteriorated. Vovnyanko underlined that the corrupt actions of some officials go unpunished because they are 'fully protected.'

In Vovnyanko's view, the situation in state enterprises is critical and demands an urgent response and a reform of management structures.

The statements by Anatoliy Vovnyanko point to serious governance problems in Ukraine's state-owned enterprises, which, he says, suffer from corruption and incompetence.

These issues are particularly relevant given the country's challenging economic conditions, where reforming the state sector could be crucial for improving financial outcomes. The relevant authorities should pay attention to these accusations to ensure transparency and effective management in state-owned companies.
