Fan Threats Target Former Partner

Pietro Zlota, the former fiancé of Ukrainian pop star Melovin (real name Kostiantyn Bocharov), has reported receiving threats from the singer's fans. The threats began after Melovin publicly announced the end of their relationship on February 14th. Zlota, who serves as a paramedic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, found himself targeted by a negative backlash from a segment of the singer's fanbase.

Zlota's Public Response

Addressing the situation, Pietro Zlota urged fans to stop the threats and to refrain from writing anything negative about Melovin. He stated:

'Threatening me and telling me to disappear is on your conscience. I am warning you: the next step will be official complaints, and you will be held accountable for your words. I also ask that you do not write anything bad about Melovin. If you don't like something, just scroll past it, and everyone can have peace. We already have enough stress with the war.'

This incident highlights the intense, and sometimes toxic, fan culture that can surround celebrities, particularly in the age of social media. Their relationship had previously been in the public eye when Zlota proposed to Melovin on Kyiv's Independence Square, a significant moment for the couple. Recently, Melovin also announced plans to retire from his music career in 2027, a decision that may be influenced by recent personal events.

The fan reaction to the breakup underscores how the personal lives of public figures can provoke strong emotions online. In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, where public sentiment is already highly charged, such incidents can create additional tension and highlight the critical need for responsible behavior on social media platforms.
