Andriy Syniuk's Financial Assets
Former Deputy Prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Andriy Syniuk declared significant income after his dismissal. Among his assets are millions in hryvnias, as well as cash, bonds, and real estate.
Before his dismissal, Syniuk received 382,723 UAH in salary from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. After his dismissal, he declared:
- 2.5 million UAH in salary;
- 120,000 UAH from the redemption of domestic government bonds (OVDP);
- 193,000 UAH in interest on them;
- 65,300 dollars in cash;
- almost 3,000 dollars in a bank account;
- 2,600 euros in cash.
One significant source of income is a gift from his father amounting to 4.2 million UAH. Syniuk also owns a BMW X5 and uses an apartment in Kyiv that belongs to Valentyna Liashuk. Among his assets are government bonds valued at over 2 million UAH.
Wife's Activity and Syniuk's Dismissal
Starting in 2023, Syniuk's wife owns two plots of land in the Rivne region and a Nissan car. She purchased an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 166 square meters for almost 9 million UAH.
Syniuk was dismissed from his position, presumably due to an investigation into 'systematic information leaks,' although officially he left the position voluntarily. The Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors stated that it did not conduct an official investigation into him.
These facts have sparked interest in the financial situation of the former official, especially in the context of his activities in the anti-corruption prosecutor's office.
Andriy Syniuk's declared income after dismissal raises questions about the transparency of high-ranking officials' financial affairs, especially those who worked in anti-corruption agencies. Investigating the financial assets of such individuals can be an important step in fighting corruption, as it allows for the identification of potential corruption schemes or conflicts of interest. It may also prompt further investigations if discrepancies between declared income and the official's actual activities are found.
