Charge against former deputy of Rivne region
In Rivne region, the former deputy has been charged by the regional prosecutor's office with providing false information in declarations exceeding 30 million UAH. It has been established that false data was indicated in the declarations for 2023 and 2024.
In particular, the declaration did not include:
- 6 real estate objects with a total area of 1,700 square meters;
- about 40 land plots with a total area of over 60 hectares.
These violations were the basis for bringing charges against the former deputy. It is worth noting that the suspect has already resigned from his deputy powers.
Fight against corruption in Ukraine
In the context of the fight against corruption, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has completed audits of 22 declarations from officials of medical and social expert commissions. Additionally, the Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko has submitted a declaration for 2025.
This case is part of a nationwide campaign against corruption actively implemented in Ukraine. The importance of accurate declaration of property and income by officials is emphasized by numerous cases where false data lead to criminal prosecutions. Given that audits of declarations are ongoing, this situation may serve as a signal to other officials regarding the need to comply with legislation in the field of declarations.
