According to the commander, in the event of a foreign warrior's death, they will be buried according to the wishes of the relatives or a signed will. Payments to the relatives of deceased foreigners occur under similar rules as for Ukrainian soldiers.
Alexander Yakimovich also pointed out that the main distinguishing feature between foreign fighters and Ukrainian citizens is that foreigners can terminate their contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine after six months of service. This is an important detail that makes the service of foreign warriors in the Ukrainian army special.
