In Kyiv, from September 10, the curfew will last from 01:00 to 05:00 instead of the current midnight regime. At the same time, transport will operate for an hour longer, and the night movement rules are changing against the backdrop of restrictions during the curfew introduced earlier this year. This is reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations citing Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The curfew in Kyiv will last four hours from September 10

The Defense Council of Kyiv has decided to shorten the nighttime restrictions by one hour. The new regime will take effect from 00:00 on September 10, after which the curfew will last daily from 01:00 to 05:00.

«The curfew will, by government decision, be shortened by one hour. It will last from 01:00 to 05:00 in the morning», — Klitschko reported.

The schedule for public transport will be extended by one hour. At the same time, the working hours of restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping and entertainment centers will not change.

For train passengers arriving in the capital late, four bus routes will be launched during the curfew from the Central Railway Station.

How the Kyiv metro will operate during air alarms

Some changes concern the capital's subway. Under yellow level air threat, the Syretsko-Pechersk line will operate without restrictions, and trains will carry passengers across the Southern Bridge between the right and left banks. The work regime for the metro during alarms has already been determined in Kyiv.

At the red level of danger, the green line will be divided into two sections: «Syrets» — «Vydubychi» and «Slavutych» — «Chervonyi Khatyr». The red line will continue to carry passengers only through the underground section between «Akademmistetko» and «Arsenalna».

Surface transport will operate without restrictions. An additional bus from «Palace of Sports» through «Arsenalna» to «Lisova» has already been launched, partially duplicating the red line of the metro.

During the alarm, traffic will not stop on the Southern Bridge, but for half an hour after the danger is announced and for the same amount after the all-clear, a technological blocking will be in effect. Access from Saperno-Slobidska and Mykhailo Boychuk streets will be closed.

The Darnytskyi, Northern, Paton, and Metro bridges will operate unchanged. A reverse movement and similar technological blockings will be introduced on the Podilsk-Voskresensky bridge crossing.

Let us remind you that due to the restrictions on the metro during alarms, the load on surface transport and taxis in the capital has increased in recent days. In particular, the possibility of limiting taxi rates during air alarms is being discussed in Kyiv.
