The Significance of the Curfew

Ukraine's government has confirmed the nationwide curfew will not be lifted, though specific exemptions may be granted to protect critical infrastructure. Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kubrakov, announced this during a press briefing, stressing the regime's continued importance. He noted that exceptions could be considered in cases of prolonged electricity or heating outages. This policy reflects the ongoing security challenges faced by the country.

Concurrently, the government has launched a nationwide audit of 'Invincibility Points' to enhance their operations and ensure 24/7 functionality. The focus is on core facilities that must be prepared to respond to emergencies. A dedicated headquarters has also been established to address the aftermath of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, a response to the heightened risk of further strikes.

Kubrakov emphasized that a centralized approach to managing the situation is critically important. A plan of action for critical sites is being implemented in coordination with the Restoration Agency, aiming to improve coordination and effectiveness amid the nation's ongoing challenges.

Ensuring Public Safety

Amid persistent threats from Russian aggression, maintaining the curfew is a vital measure for public safety. The audit of Invincibility Points and the creation of a response headquarters demonstrate the government's proactive steps to bolster emergency preparedness. These actions form part of a strategic crisis management approach to protect Ukraine's critical infrastructure.
