The first family of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine purchased their own housing thanks to the state program «eOselya». The family of Hryhoriy and Olha with their daughter Valeriya, who left Donetsk in 2014, took advantage of the 70% compensation for the initial payment and monthly payments, obtaining a house in the village of Chaiky near Kyiv. Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenk reported this.
What compensations will IDPs receive in the 'eOselya' mortgage program
Since September, the eOselya program has become more accessible for IDPs and residents of frontline zones. The state compensates 70% of the initial payment for the mortgage, 70% of monthly payments for the first year, and document processing costs up to 40,000 UAH.
How the first clients of 'eOselya' arranged the mortgage
Since the beginning of the war, the family lived in rented apartments in the capital. Hryhoriy met Olha in Kyiv, and together they are raising little Valeriya. The family applied through the 'Dii' app and took a loan from the 'SKAY BANK', where the documents were quickly approved.
«We applied through Diia and received approval. For me, this is a chance to feel at home again,» said Hryhoriy.
