The Russian military command has decided to redeploy several battalions of a new motorized rifle regiment to the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. This regiment was formed from scratch at Putin's instruction to increase the mobilization resource by 30,000 soldiers, a spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces reported.
According to the spokesman, this new military unit was created in Chechnya and redeployed to southern Ukraine to replace the losses of Russian forces. Several battalions of this regiment have already arrived in the occupied territories and will soon join the units engaged in combat operations.
The Russian command also conducted a rotation of troops on the Tenderovskye and Kinburnskye spits, replacing the Tenth Cossack reconnaissance assault brigade 'Don' with two battalions of airborne assault troops. This rotation occurred due to the ineffectiveness and low combat capability of the 'Don' brigade.
The Ukrainian army is facing new challenges due to the redeployment of Russian troops to southern Ukraine and the rotation of troops near the Black Sea coast. These actions create additional threats to Ukraine's security and confirm the aggressive nature of Russian military policy in the region.
