The Constitutional Court adopted 58 acts in a month: what this means for Ukrainians

Activity of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in December 2025

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine was notably active in December 2025, holding 73 sessions and adopting 58 acts. This month was marked by numerous significant decisions that may affect human rights practices and the constitutional rights of citizens.

Among the sessions held:

  • 35 were plenary, of which 13 took place in closed parts of the Grand Chamber.
  • The First Senate held 4 open and 8 closed parts of plenary sessions.
  • The Second Senate organized 3 plenary sessions and 7 closed parts.

In total, the Court held 38 sessions, indicating the active work of the judges.

It is important to note that among the 58 acts adopted, there were:

  • 3 decisions: one from the Grand Chamber, one from the First Senate, and one from the Second Senate.
  • 13 rulings and 42 resolutions, of which 15 belong to the Grand Chamber, 13 to the senates, and 14 were adopted by panels of judges.

The Court also reviewed 56 constitutional complaints, of which 23 were distributed among the judges, and 33 were returned to the subjects of the right to constitutional complaint. In addition, 58 responses to requests for public information and citizens' appeals were prepared.
