Monograph 'Scientific Concept for the Development of Ukrainian Legislation' Presented

On March 4, 2026, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine hosted the presentation of a collective monograph titled 'Scientific Concept for the Development of Ukrainian Legislation'. This event drew significant attention from the legal and academic communities for its focus on pivotal aspects of reforming Ukraine's legal framework. The presentation underscores a concerted effort to modernize the nation's laws in line with contemporary challenges and European standards.

The monograph's co-authors include Acting Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Oleksandr Petryshyn, as well as Justices Oksana Hryshchuk, Serhii Riznyk, Olha Sovhyria, and members of the Court's Scientific Advisory Council. The event was moderated by:

  • Constitutional Court Justice Oksana Hryshchuk, Head of the Permanent Commission on Scientific Support;
  • Oleksii Kot, Director of the Institute of Lawmaking and Scientific Legal Expertise of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court.

Attendees of the event included:

  • Acting Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Oleksandr Petryshyn;
  • Constitutional Court Justices Oksana Hryshchuk, Serhii Riznyk, Petro Filiuk, and Halyna Yurovska;
  • Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleh Rafalskyi;
  • Members of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court Oksana Vasylchenko, Oleksii Kot, Nataliia Kuznietsova, and Nataliia Onishchenko;
  • Other representatives of the scientific community.

The event was organized jointly by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the Institute of Lawmaking and Scientific Legal Expertise of the NAS of Ukraine. The monograph's launch marks a significant milestone, highlighting the critical role of scholarly research in shaping the future of Ukrainian law. This initiative is part of broader judicial and legislative reforms aimed at strengthening the rule of law.
