Ukraine has been conducting an admission campaign with a national multi-subject testing for the fourth year in a row. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykhailo Vinnytskyi announced important changes to the rules for obtaining educational grants for applicants to the bachelor's program.
According to the new rules, applicants who are recommended for budget places but choose to enroll in a contract will lose the opportunity to receive an educational grant. It is important to make wise choices when submitting applications for admission, Vinnytskyi emphasized.
It is especially important not to refuse a budget place of the highest priority, as in this case the applicant loses the right to receive a grant when enrolling on a contract, even with high NMТ scores.
According to the deputy minister, the state provides an opportunity to choose one of two places - budget or contractual with a grant. This year, one will lose the opportunity to receive a grant if they refuse a budget place.
This new rule in the admission campaign was introduced due to the large number of applicants who refused budget places after being recommended for enrollment last year.
Record results of NMТ
Let's also note the record results of NMТ: an unexpected leader among subjects was named.
The changes reported in the news regarding the rules for obtaining educational grants for applicants to the bachelor's program are aimed at preventing the loss of the opportunity to receive a grant when enrolling in a contract. Now applicants who decide to refuse a budget place after being recommended for it will not be able to receive a grant. This new rule is intended to increase the responsibility of applicants and the rational use of educational opportunities.
