A working meeting took place in Warsaw within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea. This was reported by the State Enterprise 'Administration of Seaports of Ukraine'.
The main topic of the event was the discussion of strategic directions for the sustainable development of the port infrastructure of Ukrainian ports, as well as the presentation of a report on the development of the 'General Plan and Feasibility Study for the Reconstruction of Ukraine's Ports'.
'The implementation of the proposed plan will contribute to supporting Ukraine's maritime sector, integrating it into European transport chains, and strengthening our state's role as a key transport hub in the Black Sea region,' emphasized the State Enterprise.
During the discussion, participants paid special attention to issues of restoring the infrastructure of Ukrainian seaports, modernizing the specialized fleet, and implementing electronic port management systems. As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol confirming their readiness to jointly explore opportunities for the implementation of the outlined projects, including finding sources of funding and defining practical steps for their implementation.
