Oleksiy Kubela met with representatives of Korea to discuss the development of Ukrainian railways. During the meeting, the issue of funding the purchase of 20 high-speed electric trains of Korean manufacture was discussed, which will help improve passenger transport and update the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' fleet.
Oleksiy Kubela emphasized the importance of a transparent and open competition among companies for the procurement of new electric trains. It was also noted that Korea provides Ukraine with the opportunity for preferential financing of up to 2.1 billion US dollars for the years 2024–2029, which has become one of the largest tools for supporting Ukrainian railways from partners in Asia.
