Corporatization of the Forestry Sector in Ukraine

The corporatization of the forestry sector in Ukraine aims to attract investments and develop the industry. The latest stage of the reform is the corporatization of the State Enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine'. This step, according to the Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksii Sobolev, will allow for the attraction of investments and stimulate the development of the forestry sector.

Stages of the Reform

In the first stage of the reform, asset consolidation was carried out, a digitized traceability chain for timber movement was launched, and transparency in the sector was increased. As a result, there is an observed increase in tax payments to the state budget as well as an increase in investments for development. These changes will contribute not only to economic growth but also to improving the ecological situation in Ukraine.
