The new trolleybuses were acquired as part of the program “Urban Public Transport of Ukraine 2”. About 7.5 million euros were allocated for the purchase, provided with the support of the European Investment Bank. All vehicles are equipped with autonomous drive, allowing them to operate without overhead wires on certain sections.
The head of the trolleybus management, Oleksandr Vertyukh, reported that the transport is currently being prepared for launch, after which it will start operating on new routes. Thanks to this, the city plans to expand its public transport network.
