DTEK Urges Troieshchyna Residents to Allow Emergency Crews Access Amid Power Crisis

DTEK закликає мешканців Троєщини надати доступ екстреним службам в умовах енергетичної кризи.

DTEK Appeals for Public Cooperation During Troieshchyna's Energy Emergency

DTEK is calling on residents of the Troieshchyna district not to obstruct emergency repair crews as they work around the clock to address a severe energy crisis. The situation, marked by a lack of centralized heating and severe grid overloads, requires urgent restoration of electricity and heating services. This crisis is part of the wider strain on Ukraine's energy infrastructure due to the ongoing war.

Troieshchyna is facing critical conditions following the loss of centralized heating. Over the past week, 26 failures have been recorded at local substations. Some repair efforts may take up to two days to complete, adding to residents' hardships. The situation was further complicated when temporary power outage schedules were introduced in the capital on the night of January 29.

Call for Support

Compounding the crisis, an attack on January 24, 2026, disabled the TEC-6 power plant, leaving approximately 600 apartment buildings in Troieshchyna without electricity, water, and heating. DTEK urges residents to exercise caution and to stagger their use of high-power electrical appliances to prevent additional strain on the fragile network.

DTEK implores the public not to hinder repair crews through protests or by blocking roads, as such actions delay the restoration of energy networks. During this difficult time, supporting the utility workers is crucial to swiftly returning normalcy to Troieshchyna.

The situation in Troieshchyna underscores the vulnerability of energy infrastructure during wartime and under constant attack. The lack of heating and persistent power issues stem not only from technical failures but also from external threats that jeopardize the daily lives of residents. DTEK's appeal to the community emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation in restoring power during this ongoing crisis.
