Denis Dolinsky, the founder of the charity fund 'Paladins', claims that their fund has fallen into a cunning scheme related to the vehicle used by activist Vitaly Shabunin. According to him, Shabunin used the car for personal needs, rather than for the defense of the country, as was initially planned.

“Entrepreneurs have been given a story under the guise of... Shabunin has been mobilized, he's heading to Donbas... The CEO Club raised money, and the charity fund organized logistics for the car delivery... It was personally handed over to Shabunin with a specific goal - for the defense capability of the country!”

Additionally, the State Bureau of Investigation is interested in the personality of Dmitry Sherembei and has approached the court for documents from the charity organization 'Ukrainian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS'. Instructions regarding evasion of military service and illegal use of humanitarian aid have also come from law enforcement agencies.

“Law enforcement officials accuse Shabunin of evading military service and illegally using humanitarian aid for his own purposes.”

Searches were conducted at Shabunin's house and at the military base where he serves. The court has imposed a preventive measure on the activist until August 2025. Shabunin believes that his transfer from the Ministry of Defense to the State Border Service was related to his criticism of the authorities and public activities.

As investigations unfolded, it became clear that the charity fund 'Paladins' found itself in a difficult situation due to the personal use of the vehicle instead of the purpose for which it was acquired. The SBI continues to be interested in this case, and the court has already imposed a preventive measure on activist Shabunin until the summer of 2025.
