Kyiv offers a diverse cultural program from March 9 to 15, featuring art exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts, and stand-up comedy. This week's events highlight the resilience and vibrancy of Ukraine's capital city, providing a welcome range of artistic experiences for residents and visitors alike.

Exhibitions

An exhibition titled '11 Women from the Lysenko-Starytsky Family' will be on display until April 14. A presentation for this project is scheduled for March 12 at 5:00 PM at the Mykhailo Starytsky Memorial House (93 Sakshahanskoho Street). The exhibition covers the period from the second half of the 19th century to the early 20th century. Another exhibition, 'Easter Pysanky from the Erast Biniashevsky Collection,' opens on March 12 at 4:00 PM and runs until April 26. It can be visited at the National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Art (9 Lavrska Street, Building 2), presenting 43 pysanka sketches and about 150 finished pysanky created by Zoia Stashuk. Additionally, the exhibition 'Woman and the Sea' will run from March 6 to 18 at the I.P. Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop (21 Andriyivsky Descent).

Theatrical Performances

The theater scene presents several performances. On March 10 at 6:00 PM, the play 'A Particularly Married Taxi Driver' will be held at the House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (30/1 M. Hrushevskoho Street). The play 'Belvedere' will be performed on March 11-12 at 6:00 PM at the 'Suziria' Theater (14B Yaroslaviv Val Street), featuring Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Akhtem Seitablaiev, People's Artist of Ukraine Larisa Rusnak, and Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Kateryna Stepanova. The musical 'Chicago' will take place on March 12-13 at 6:00 PM and March 14-15 at 5:00 PM at the Kyiv National Academic Theater of Operetta (53/3 Velyka Vasylkivska Street). The theatrical week concludes with the performance 'Forest Song' on March 14 at 5:00 PM at the Kyiv Academic Puppet Theater (1A Hrushevskoho Street).

Concerts and Stand-Up Comedy

A concert by Olya Tsybulskaya is planned for March 12 at 7:00 PM at the ICCM (1 Alleya Heroiv Nebesnoi Sotni). Her repertoire includes songs such as 'Chekaiu.Tsiom,' 'Suknia bila,' 'Do ranku,' 'Vyklykai politsiiu,' 'Prosecco,' and 'TsvITy.' A concert by Liudmyla Monastyrska will occur on March 14 at 5:00 PM at the Ukraine Palace (103 Velyka Vasylkivska Street), with Mykola Diadiura conducting.

On March 14, the 'It's My Life' disco will be held at the Sports Palace (1 Sportyvna Square). The event schedule is as follows:

  • 2:00 PM – Opening
  • 4:00 PM – Muzvar Awards block
  • 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Disco

Participants in this event will include Ivo Bobul, Viktor Pavlik, Vitalii Kozlovsky, Mariia Burmaka, EL Kravchuk, and Anna Dobrydnieva.

Furthermore, on March 13 at 7:00 PM, the 'Underground Stand-Up' comedy show will take place at the Underground stand up club (15 Zolotovoritska Street), featuring Vasyl Baidak, Zhenia Korotkov, Kseniia Shvets, and Oleksandr Zhypetskyi. On March 14, from 5:30 PM to 7:20 PM, a 'Stand-Up Train' event will be held at the Sviatoshyn station (near the Sviatoshyn metro stop), platform No. 1. Performers will include Nastia Zukhvala, Oleksandr Zhypetskyi, Anton Steniuk, and Vasyl Baidak. Proceeds from tickets for the Stand-Up Train will go to the 'Granatomed' fundraising initiative.
