Exhibitions and Theater Premieres

The Ivan Marchuk exhibition, titled 'I Rocked This World', runs from March 13 to May 17, 2026, at the Museum of Kyiv History (7 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street). It will showcase nearly 250 works by the prolific artist, known for creating over 5,000 pieces and developing the unique 'plontanism' technique. This retrospective highlights a key figure in contemporary Ukrainian art.

Additionally, the exhibition 'From Trypillia to the Present Day' by Pavlo Sharko continues at the I.P. Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop (21 Andriyivsky Descent) until March 30.

In theater, the play 'Quiz' premieres at the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater (5 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street) on March 28 at 12:00 PM. It is based on the true story of Charles Ingram, who fraudulently won £1 million on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' in 2001 and was convicted alongside his wife and accomplice in 2003. Later that day at 6:00 PM, Radu Poklitaru's ballet 'La Traviata' premieres at the International Center for Culture and Arts (1 Alleya Heroiv Nebesnoi Sotni).

The musical 'Hutsulka Ksenya' will be performed twice on March 29 at the International Center for Culture and Arts—at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. It features a cast of 30 actors and a 20-member orchestra. The weekend's musical program also features a memorial concert for Stepan Giga on March 28 at 6:00 PM at the Sports Palace (1 Sportyvna Square), with over 50 artists including Stepan Giga Jr., Kvitoslava Giga, Fiinka, and Volkanov.

Further concerts include Oleg Havryliuk at the National Music Academy of Ukraine on March 28 at 5:00 PM. That same evening, Ivan Liulenov performs 'That Which is Forbidden' at Stereo Plaza at 6:00 PM, while Oleksandr Ponomariov holds a major solo concert at the 'Ukraina' Palace. Ponomariov's setlist includes songs like 'Ukraine Will Win!', 'I Love Only You', 'Dark Night', 'Why?', and 'Just Love'.

On March 29, the improvisational show 'Kings of Cringe' with Oleksandr Kachura, Sviat Zahajkevych, and Viacheslav Nikonorov starts at 4:00 PM at the Underground stand up club. A stand-up evening, 'Sunday Stand-Up', follows at 6:30 PM at Bochka Pub, hosted by Vova Linnik and featuring Alla Volkova, Bohdan Boyaryn, Jeyhun Safarov, and Ruslan Kolesnyk. These diverse events promise a vibrant and culturally rich end to March in the Ukrainian capital.
