Kyiv offers a packed schedule of cultural events this weekend, January 31st and February 1st, featuring art exhibitions, theatrical performances, concerts, and stand-up comedy. This presents a vibrant snapshot of the city's thriving arts scene for locals and visitors alike.

Exhibitions and Theatrical Performances

Museums across the city are hosting diverse exhibitions. The exhibition 'Signs of Identity' will run from February 1st to February 8th, 2026, at the Kyiv History Museum Exhibition Center at 7 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street. It features 30 embroidered towels created by Ukrainians from 22 different countries on August 24th, 2025. The project was initiated by Karina Gaeva. Also, until February 1st, the National Museum of Decorative Art of Ukraine at 9 Lavrska Street, Building 2, is hosting the exhibition 'The Delicate Flower of Kateryna Bilokur,' marking the 125th anniversary of the artist's birth. It showcases 11 of her original works, including the paintings 'Flowers Behind the Fence' (1935), 'Portrait of Nieces' (1937-1939), and 'Tsar Ear of Grain' (1949). A tactile copy of her 1951 painting 'Watermelon, Carrots, Flowers' is available for blind and visually impaired visitors. The exhibition 'The World of Magical Childhood' by Halyna Bodiakova, featuring 29 of the artist's works, is open until February 6th, 2026, at the Maria Zankovetska Memorial House-Museum at 121 Velyka Vasylkivska Street.

Theaters are presenting a variety of performances:

  • The play 'The Magnificent Century. The Merry One' will be performed on January 31st at 6:00 PM at the Golden Gate Theater, 7A Shovkovychna Street.
  • The rock opera 'Patriot' will take place on January 31st and February 1st at 5:00 PM at the Kyiv Opera, 2 Mezhyhirska Street.
  • The performance 'Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka' is scheduled for January 31st at 6:00 PM at the House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 30/1 Mykhaila Hrushevskoho Street.
  • The ballet 'On the Beautiful Blue Danube' will be held on January 31st at 6:00 PM at the MCCM, 1 Alleya Heroiv Nebesnoi Sotni.
  • The play 'Scissors' will be shown on January 31st and February 1st at 2:00 PM at the Theater on Podil, 20B Andriivskyi Descent.
  • The play 'Our Kaidash Family' is set for February 1st at 6:00 PM at the House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • The play 'Matchmaking in Honcharivka' will be performed on February 1st at 6:00 PM at the Young Theater, 17 Prorizna Street.

Concerts and Stand-Up Comedy

The weekend's cultural offerings also include several concerts:

  • The choir 'Homin' performed concerts on January 30th at 4:30 PM and January 31st at 3:30 PM at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, 2 Volodymyrskyi Descent.
  • A memorial concert for Kuzma will be held on February 1st, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Docker Pub, 25 Bohatyrska Street.
  • A concert by the band 'Dead Rooster' will take place on February 1st at 6:30 PM at Caribbean Club, 4 Symona Petliury Street.

Stand-up comedy shows are also on the agenda:

  • The stand-up show 'Funny Seven' is scheduled for January 31st at 4:30 PM at Bochka Pub, 19A Khreshchatyk Street.
  • A Sunday stand-up event will be held on February 1st at 7:00 PM at DoskaBar, 21 Prorizna Street.
