Russians intensified assaults in the Kupiansk direction: new tactics of the enemy

Ворог активізував свої дії в районі Куп'янська, застосовуючи нові стратегії.

Intensification of assault actions in the Kupiansk direction

Russian troops have significantly increased assault actions in the Kupiansk direction, attacking Ukrainian positions with infantry and actively using fiber-optic drones.

Officer Valeriy Kiselev, representative of the 116th separate mechanized brigade, stated that the situation in this direction has escalated dramatically, and militants are conducting daily assaults.

'The enemy is pushing and pushing, without stopping,' Kiselev described the situation.

Instead of mass tank attacks, Russians are actively using infantry assault groups that advance on motorcycles and ATVs for quick movement and concealment.

Particularly threatening are enemy drones on fiber optics, the number of which continues to grow. This complicates the supply of ammunition and other equipment for the Ukrainian troops.

Difficulties for Ukrainian defenders

The geographic conditions of the region complicate the defense of the troops. The main route through the city of Kupiansk complicates supply and movement of troops due to the limited number of bridges.

'The bottleneck' - the Kupiansk-Chuhuiv road - has become a site of active operations of enemy drones controlling this direction.

Seasonal changes complicate the camouflage of the troops, but contribute to the detection of enemy vehicles and their destruction.

As a result of the intensification of assault actions in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian military personnel are under significant pressure due to increased enemy attacks, use of drones, and difficult geographic conditions of the region.
