Military treason in Lviv region
A cadet of a military university in the Lviv region has been found guilty of high treason and sentenced to 15 years in prison. It has been established that he passed information about military facilities to the enemy. In particular, the cadet provided data about training grounds and military-industrial complex facilities that are of strategic importance to Ukraine.
The cadet was recruited by Russian special services in April 2025. After that, for a certain period, he transmitted information, which led to his detention at the end of May last year. The trial ended with a verdict of 15 years in prison.
Similar cases of treason
In this context, it is also worth noting that earlier a 46-year-old woman from Hnatovka was sentenced to 15 years in prison for similar treason, as she transmitted data about the positions of Ukrainian military to the FSB of the Russian Federation. In addition, an FSB agent among the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained, who held the position of head of the medical unit of a combat brigade. These cases indicate the activity of enemy agents on the territory of Ukraine and the need to strengthen security measures in military structures.
Considering the cases of treason that have occurred in Ukraine, it becomes evident that the threat from enemy special services remains relevant. The detention and sentencing of individuals who cooperate with the enemy highlight the importance of active security monitoring in military and other strategic institutions.
