Fuel price forecast in Ukraine
Director of the consulting group 'A-95' Sergey Kuyun shared his forecasts regarding fuel prices in Ukraine. He noted that the stability of the oil market fits into quite narrow frames, despite some fluctuations in the oil products market. This allows fuel prices at gas stations to remain stable. However, an increase in the number of promotional offers from networks for regular customers can be expected.
Price and demand dynamics
In mid-July, the minimum values of 'margin' for the last 14 months were recorded, indicating limited price increases for fuel at gas stations. There are certain local fluctuations in consumption, however, overall demand for fuel in Ukraine is declining. This is especially true for diesel fuel, consumption of which has fallen by 10% compared to last year. At the same time, gasoline consumption increased by 1%', - Kuyun explained.
The expert emphasized that the oil and oil products market reacts very quickly to any changes, but forecasting the impact of geopolitical factors on prices is very difficult, especially in the medium and long term. Nevertheless, the director of the 'A-95' group noted the market's readiness to respond quickly to any issues.
Conclusion: The expert predicts stable fuel prices in Ukraine but notes an increase in promotional offers for clients. Diesel fuel consumption in the country is decreasing, while demand for gasoline is growing. The oil and oil products market is very sensitive to changes, making it a challenging task to forecast the impact of geopolitical factors on prices.
