Statements of Sergey Lavrov and the reaction of Volodymyr Zelensky
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, stated that Ukraine tried to attack the residence of President Volodymyr Putin on December 29. According to him, Russian military recorded 91 unmanned aerial vehicles that night, all of which, according to Lavrov, were shot down.
These accusations were denied by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. He noted that the Russian side has no intention of ending the war and, in his opinion, such statements only prepare the ground for further strikes on the Ukrainian capital and state buildings. Initially, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported 18 downed targets, and later this number rose to 23 drones.
“Russian propaganda uses such statements to justify its actions”

Tension in relations between Ukraine and Russia
These events highlight the tension that continues to escalate in relations between Ukraine and Russia, particularly in the context of the ongoing military conflict. Lavrov's statements and Zelensky's reaction indicate the activation of information campaigns used by both sides to support their narratives. In a situation where armed conflict continues, such incidents can have serious consequences for international politics and security in the region.
