Gen 6 Automated System Goes Live

On July 7 at 3:00 PM, LibertyStream announced the activation of its Gen 6 automated system, designed to extract lithium and produce lithium carbonate. The project is based at the Freedom Launchpad facility in Dallas, which serves as both a training ground and a client sample production center. Company representatives confirmed the new system is operating reliably, marking a significant milestone for the overall project, according to Alex Wiley.

Gen 6 System Specifications

The Gen 6 system is engineered to process nearly 800,000 liters of brine per day—equivalent to about 5,000 barrels. It is fully integrated into the U.S. oil and gas industry's water treatment infrastructure. The automated platform relies on programmable logic controllers and provides continuous monitoring of temperature, pressure, fluid flow rates, pH levels, and electrical conductivity. With the Gen 6 upgrade, the cycle time has been reduced from 60 to 20 minutes, and the company's engineering and chemistry teams have refined the operating algorithms over recent months.

Prior testing of the new system lasted 21 months, during which over 63.5 million liters of brine were tested and more than 2,500 individual tests were conducted. In parallel, LibertyStream is preparing to launch the Freedom 1 plant, designed to produce 1,000 tons of petroleum products annually. The facility was previously known as Facility 1. The company's shares are traded on the TSXV, OTCQB, and FSE exchanges under the tickers LIB, VLTLF, and I2D. LibertyStream's primary focus remains on product qualification, operator training, and preparing the Freedom 1 site for commercial operations.

The launch of the Gen 6 system highlights the growing interest in lithium extraction technologies, a critical component for battery production, especially amid the global shift toward renewable energy sources. LibertyStream continues to develop infrastructure aimed at ensuring a stable lithium supply, which could positively impact the market and bolster the company's competitiveness. The successful execution of the Freedom 1 project is expected to further strengthen the company's international standing.
