Measures to enhance the energy resilience of the lifecell network
The mobile operator lifecell is implementing a series of measures to enhance the energy resilience of its network during power outages and shelling. One of the main steps was the introduction of National Roaming, which took place at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine. This allowed subscribers of other national operators to use the lifecell network, which, in turn, led to an increase in data traffic by an average of 50% during power outages.
Procurement of generators and initiatives for the population
To ensure stable communication, the operator has purchased 3500 generators, of which 500 have already arrived at the warehouse. This will allow the network to operate under unstable electricity supply conditions. lifecell also invites Ukrainians to connect their generators with a capacity of 7.2 kW or more to the overall support network, aimed at improving the energy situation in the country. To participate in this initiative, the operator provides a hotline at 0 800 33 63 28, through which Ukrainians can obtain information and join the program.
These measures are crucial for ensuring uninterrupted communication in the crisis situation that has arisen in Ukraine.
Enhancing the energy resilience of the lifecell network is critically important in conditions where the Ukrainian infrastructure suffers significant damage due to military actions. National Roaming helps maintain communication not only for lifecell subscribers but also for users of other operators, which increases the overall reliability of communications in the country. The procurement of generators and the involvement of the population in the initiative can significantly improve the situation with electricity supply and communication under critical conditions, which is currently relevant for many regions of Ukraine.
