Оголошено нові ставки допомоги по хворобі та декретним виплатам на 2026 рік.

Updates to Social Benefit Payments in Ukraine

Starting January 1, 2026, the amounts for key social benefits in Ukraine, including sick pay and maternity leave payments, will be adjusted. These changes are tied to the increase in the minimum wage, which is currently set at 8,647 hryvnias. New minimum and maximum limits for these payments have been established, which will affect the financial support available to citizens during temporary disability or maternity leave. These adjustments are part of ongoing reforms to the country's social safety net.

Revised Payment Amounts

Under the new regulations, the maximum daily benefit for both sick pay and maternity leave will be 5,681.34 hryvnias. Consequently, for insurance events beginning in 2026, the minimum daily threshold for maternity benefits will be 284.07 hryvnias. Similarly, daily sick pay cannot exceed 284.07 hryvnias per calendar day.

The specified changes reflect an adaptation of the social security system to new economic realities, aiming to provide better support for individuals facing difficult life circumstances. It is crucial for citizens to be informed about these changes and their impact on future social benefit entitlements.

Adjustments to social payments can significantly affect the financial situation of many Ukrainians, particularly amid ongoing economic challenges. Adapting the social system to new conditions is intended to ensure a fairer approach to supporting those in difficult situations. However, it is important that these new provisions are accompanied by public information campaigns to raise awareness among the population.
