The Security Service of Ukraine announced the termination of the activities of the 'ex-mayor' of Luhansk, Manolis Pilavov. This information was disseminated by the publication 'Glavkom' referring to sources in the SBU.

According to media reports, Manolis Pilavov, the former 'head' of the occupying administration of the city from 2014 to 2023, was killed in the occupied Luhansk. The man's death was a result of an explosion.

Pilavov was one of the ideologists of the 'Luhansk People's Republic,' a collaborator of Plotnitsky, and actively participated in the overthrow of legal authority. He had been wanted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine since 2015 and was under Ukrainian sanctions since 2022.

In July, there was also an explosion in occupied Luhansk, which led to the death of the former 'mayor' of the city, Manolis Pilavov, on Taras Shevchenko Street. This incident resulted in the death of the collaborator and injuries to three other individuals.

Ukrainian special services continue to conduct operations in the temporarily occupied territory aimed at halting the activities of collaborators and militants that threaten the national security of the country.
