Liliia Sandulesa's Statement on Casino Visits
In an interview with Rostyslav Kalachynskyi, Liliia Sandulesa addressed claims made by her former husband, Ivo Bobul, about her frequenting casinos. She acknowledged visiting casinos during their marriage but asserted this was a private matter. Sandulesa explained that she and her friends would go to a casino restaurant, which she considered a form of leisure.
'When my friend opened a restaurant in a casino, we went because he invited us. We went for lunch and dinner. We also went into the casino. It was relaxation,' – Liliia Sandulesa
The Divorce and Personal Space
Sandulesa also discussed her divorce from Ivo Bobul, which was finalized in 2002 after a decade of marriage. She revealed that a terminated pregnancy was a significant factor in their relationship's difficulties.
She elaborated on the lack of shared leisure time: 'When I suggested to Ivo that we go to the seaside, or to a sanatorium, especially after the surgery, or to some resorts, he would say: No, I can't. So where was I supposed to relax? I had no relaxation.'
Despite their split, the former couple continued to perform together on stage as a duet. Sandulesa defended her personal spending, stating, 'What I spent on a song or what I spent money on is nobody's business. It's my money. I worked and had the right to my relaxation.' She used this to underscore the importance of personal space and the right to leisure in her life.
These comments from Liliia Sandulesa highlight her determination to defend her personal choices and point to potential strains in her relationship with Ivo Bobul. The discussion of divorce and personal leisure preferences touches on broader social themes of individual autonomy within partnerships. Her remarks resonate with the universal challenge of balancing personal interests with shared life, a situation familiar to many.
