The enemy launched two missile strikes with 43 missiles and 49 airstrikes, dropping 70 guided aviation bombs. They also used 1850 kamikaze drones for the strikes and carried out 3876 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops.
As of August 21, at 22:00, there were 116 combat clashes. The defense forces are directing their efforts to disrupt the plans of the Russian invaders for an offensive and to exhaust their combat potential. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the South Slobozhansky direction
Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk, Khatne, Ambarne, and Zapadne.
In the Kupiansk direction
Our soldiers repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Holubivka and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction
Ukrainian warriors stopped 14 assault actions of the invaders near the settlements of Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Kolodyazi, Dibrova, and towards Yampol. Three more combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction
The enemy carried out five offensive actions in the areas of Serebryanka, Vyimyka, Hryhorivka, Siversk, and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction
Our defenders repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction
The occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders four times today in the areas of Oleksandro-Kalynove, Pleschiivka, Sophiivka, Poltavka, and Toretsk. The defense forces are firmly holding back the pressure and have repelled all enemy attacks.
In the Pokrovsk direction
The enemy carried out 29 offensive actions. The activity of the Russian occupiers was recorded near the settlements of Mykolaivka, Rodynske, Myrolubivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Novopavlivka, Muravka, Novoukrainka, Zatyshok, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Lysivka. Three combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlivsk direction
Ukrainian units repelled 25 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka, Zaporizke, Temyrivka, Zelenyi Pole, Tolstoi, Lisne, Olihivske, and towards the settlements of Komyshuvakha and Filiya. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
