Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre revealed that President Volodymyr Zelensky’s plane came dangerously close to being hit by a drone during its departure from Moldova en route to Oslo. Norway’s Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg confirmed the event, noting that the president's departure was postponed because of security concerns.
On the same day, a Russian "Shahed" drone violated the airspace of both Romania and Moldova. The drone crashed near the village of Mihăileni Vechi in Moldova, igniting dry grass in the vicinity. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties resulting from the crash.

President Zelensky, accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska, arrived in Norway later that day. During his visit, he held discussions with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and participated in events commemorating the passing of King Harald V of Norway.
Jonas Gahr Støre stated, "His aircraft was nearly struck by a drone as it was preparing to depart Moldova. This is the reality he faces."
Jens Stoltenberg added that while full details of the incident remain unclear, the threat was genuine and posed a serious risk to the Ukrainian president’s flight.
