The UK government has decided to extend the Ukraine Permission Extension program for Ukrainian refugees for another two years. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced this in Parliament, emphasizing the importance of providing support to those in need.
“We will continue to make our contribution to supporting Ukraine by extending the Ukraine Permission Extension program for another 24 months,” said Cooper.
The Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme allows Ukrainians in the UK on visas to extend their status for an additional 18 months. Participants receive the right to work, social benefits, medical, and educational services. Application submissions remain free of charge.
The UK's promise to continue assisting Ukrainian refugees for the next two years is an important step in supporting those seeking refuge during times of war and persecution. The Ukraine Permission Extension opens additional opportunities for Ukrainians in the UK and provides them with necessary rights and services.
