In London, thieves return Android phones: which gadgets interest them more

В Лондоні злодії повертають Android-пристрої: які гаджети їх приваблюють найбільше.

Thieves in London are increasingly choosing iPhones for robberies due to their higher resale value and demand on the black market. At the same time, stolen Android smartphones are often returned to their owners, as they are less interesting to robbers.

Several London residents shared stories of instances where, after seeing Android smartphones, robbers refused to proceed with the thefts. There are even cases where, after spotting a Samsung Galaxy, thieves left it behind due to its 'unattractiveness'.

One group robbed eight people, but one of them returned a Samsung, claiming he had no need for that gadget.

Meanwhile, Apple announced the shift of the release of the base models of the iPhone 18 to spring 2027, including the iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2.

In London, thieves are increasingly opting for iPhones due to their higher resale value and demand on the black market, while Android smartphones remain less appealing to them. The situation shows that the popularity of certain phone models can even impact crime rates.
