The heavyweight champion of WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) shared that he loves playing the video game Counter Strike with his friends. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
Usyk shared: 'We train until about four, and then we go play Counter Strike. I love playing as terrorists (laughs). It's not about winning—it's about team play. It's part of my training. But I'm glad that my team won the last game,' Usyk said.
On July 19 in London (UK), Oleksandr Usyk will have a rematch against British Daniel Dubois for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. For Usyk, this will be his first time at Wembley Stadium during his professional career.
In the match, all four major heavyweight titles will be on the line: the Ukrainian holds the WBA, WBO, and WBC titles, while Dubois possesses the IBF championship belt. In the rematch with Dubois, Usyk will be trying to regain the IBF title, which he left in the summer of 2024 before the second fight with Tyson Fury due to the impossibility of organizing a meeting with the mandatory challenger.
Dubois, in turn, will make his second defense of the IBF title. In September 2024, he knocked out former world champion Anthony Joshua in the fifth round, achieving his third consecutive victory.
'I am constantly offered to go into politics. I am not ready for that. I do not see myself as a Ukrainian politician at all. I have a career; I plan to be in big sports for at least 40 years. Two years in boxing? God willing, yes. I want to be there. I have a lot of projects that we are currently working on - developing sports, not just boxing, but on a broader scale,' the boxer noted.
