Mahuchikh Triumphs in Hengelo
Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh secured a win at the Continental Tour event held in Hengelo, Netherlands. Her winning leap of 1.94 meters was cleared on her second attempt. Despite the victory, she was unable to reach 2.00 meters, failing on all three of her tries at that height.

Mahuchikh finished ahead of Cuba’s Daxielina Brisson, who took second place with a jump of 1.91 meters. Kazakhstan’s Kristina Ovchinnikova claimed third with 1.88 meters. This win marks Mahuchikh’s fifth of the season, making her undefeated in all her starts so far. Earlier, she also won the Diamond League event in Rabat, Morocco, with a mark of 1.97 meters. Her best seasonal performance remains 2.03 meters, achieved at the Demyanyuk Memorial.
Notably, her compatriot Yuliya Levchenko finished fourth at the Diamond League meet in Rabat but delivered an impressive performance by winning the Xiamen leg with a 1.99-meter clearance on her final attempt.
