Ihor Hladkyi: A Life Cut Short
On May 5, 2026, near the settlement of Sydorove in the Donetsk region, 28-year-old serviceman Ihor Hladkyi lost his life. A Master of Sport of Ukraine in arm wrestling, he hailed from the village of Davydiv in the Lviv region. He began his athletic career in 2021. During his military service, Hladkyi rose from the rank of rifleman to platoon commander in the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade.
