Escalation in Dnipropetrovsk Region
On April 29, Russian troops launched nearly 90 attacks across five districts of Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, using drones, artillery, and missiles. The strikes killed civilians and damaged infrastructure and residential buildings. This update comes from Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, as the area continues to face relentless bombardment amid the ongoing war.
Targeted Areas and Casualties
The attacks occurred in the following districts:
- Dnipro
- Nikopol
- Synelnykove
- Kryvyi Rih
- Kamianske
Two people lost their lives: a woman in the Liubymivka community and another individual in the Nikopol district. Additionally, a 72-year-old man in Liubymivka was wounded and hospitalized in critical condition.
Infrastructure suffered heavy damage. In Dnipro city, an industrial facility was hit. The Nikopol district saw a hospital, a lyceum, a college, a post office, administrative buildings, a shop, and both apartment blocks and private homes damaged. In the Synelnykove area, enterprises and infrastructure in the Pokrovska and Mykolaivka communities were affected. Around Kryvyi Rih, infrastructure and one private house in the Zelenodolska and Hrushivka communities were struck.

This marks another sharp escalation, as just the day before, on April 28, 48 attacks across three districts killed two and wounded 11.
Earlier strikes on April 20, which targeted the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts as well as Kryvyi Rih, left eight civilians wounded. In the Marhanets community, an FPV drone struck near a civilian vehicle, injuring a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. These incidents underscore the persistent danger to local residents.
The situation in Dnipropetrovsk region reflects a sustained level of violence from the prolonged military conflict.
