Recently, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who arrived in the USA as a refugee from Ukraine, occurred. The tragedy took place on August 22, and the suspect in the crime is already in custody.

From video recordings, it is known that the attack occurred on a Lynx Blue Line train. Iryna Zarutska entered the carriage at 21:46 and sat in front of Dekarlos Brown Jr., 34 years old. A few minutes later, he suddenly took out a knife and attacked the woman, inflicting a fatal wound.

Dekarlos Brown Jr. was arrested immediately after the incident. He was hospitalized with a hand injury, and after receiving medical assistance, he was charged with first-degree murder. The motives of the crime are still unknown.
