Renewed Attacks in Sumy Oblast

Russian forces launched a large-scale assault on the city of Shostka during the night of May 30. The strikes caused damage to residential and commercial structures, administrative offices, and vehicles. Emergency crews responded to multiple fires and conducted assessments across several locations simultaneously. Operations were temporarily halted due to the risk of additional strikes.

In the morning, an enemy drone struck a gas station in Sumy city, sparking a blaze. Firefighters managed to extinguish all hotspots. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.

Ongoing Aggression and Its Toll

These incidents highlight the continued Russian aggression in the region, raising concern among local residents and state authorities. Attacks on civilian targets—including homes and critical infrastructure—create fresh challenges for rescue and security services. As the area remains a high-risk zone, the need for heightened readiness against possible follow-up strikes is increasingly urgent.
