Shelled in Odesa: public transport suspended
A one-way shelling in Odesa led to the temporary suspension of city public transport. Traction substations were left without electricity, reported the press service of the Odesa City Council.
To transport passengers on tram and trolleybus routes, additional buses with distributed movement are in operation:
- Tram route No. 1 is reinforced with public transport;
- Tram route No. 5 is serviced by one bus;
- Tram route No. 18 has a bus operating between stops;
- Tram route No. 20 is also serviced by one bus;
- Trolleybus route No. 8 has buses from route No. 208;
- Trolleybus route No. 3 has buses from route No. 233.
Private carriers have increased the number of buses on urban public transport routes.
Mass shelling and blackout in the Odesa region
Hundreds of thousands of families are left without electricity in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. There were again strikes on Ukrainian communities at night, resulting in injuries.
The Odesa regional authorities reported mass shelling of the region using strike drones. Energy, transport, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. There is no information about casualties, but all services are working on site.
To assist the population, resilience points have been established, and critical infrastructure is functioning with electricity generators. Also, due to shelling, train schedules in the Odesa region have been changed.
As a result of shelling by Russian forces, the energy network of the city of Arcyz in the Odesa region was left without electricity.
After mass shelling in the Odesa region, local areas are under threat, hundreds of thousands of residents are left without electricity, and infrastructure facilities have been damaged. Strikes on Ukrainian communities have led to injuries and significant material losses. Authorities have taken measures to assist citizens by establishing resilience points and providing vital electricity to infrastructure from generators. Train schedules on local rail routes have also been temporarily changed.
