Ukraine Endures Large-Scale Russian Assault
On April 16th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a report from Air Force Commander Anatolii Kryvonozhka detailing a massive attack by the Russian Federation. Casualties and Damage
The cities of Dnipro, Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv were impacted by the attack. In Dnipro, two people were killed, including a 12-year-old boy. Overall, at least 100 people have been reported injured. Victims suffered from head injuries, shrapnel wounds, and blast trauma, with one woman in serious condition. A five-story residential building was damaged, and a private house was partially destroyed.
“There can be no normalization with a Russia like this. Pressure on Russia must be effective. And it is crucial to fulfill every promise of aid to Ukraine in a timely manner,” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President emphasized that while many political commitments have been made by partners, they have yet to be fully realized. Zelenskyy instructed the Air Force Commander to contact those allies who had previously promised supplies of missiles for Patriot systems and other forms of assistance. 'I expect a report on the results,' he concluded.
