Vinnytsia and Other Ukrainian Regions Hit in Large-Scale Attack
In the early hours of February 3, Russian forces carried out a massive assault against Ukraine, targeting multiple regions including Vinnytsia. The attack caused damage in the capital, Kyiv, and the northeastern Sumy region. In Kyiv, three people were wounded, while four individuals sustained injuries in Sumy. The strikes resulted in power outages across 50 settlements in Vinnytsia; at the time of reporting, there was no information on casualties in that specific area. This latest barrage is part of a sustained Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.
Preliminary reports indicate Russian troops deployed between 350 and 500 unmanned aerial vehicles and up to 65 missiles of various types. The assault triggered fires in several Ukrainian regions, which emergency services are currently battling. Energy crews are also working to restore electricity. The head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Natalia Zabolotna, stated:
