Massive drone attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

Russian terrorists launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, resulting in a power outage for 800 thousand households in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This large-scale disruption of electricity supply also affected most consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Borys Filatov, the mayor of Dnipro, commented on the situation, stating that this is a national emergency. He emphasized the importance of constant contact with the regional military administration, as well as all relevant ministries and services to coordinate actions in this difficult situation.

"All heating plants were de-energized yesterday, and efforts are currently being made to restore their operation."

The assessment of damages and restoration work will begin after the security situation improves. Due to the power outage, public transport in Dnipro will be replaced by buses on January 8.

The importance of restoring electricity supply

This attack is part of Russia's ongoing campaign against Ukraine aimed at destabilizing the economy and energy infrastructure of the country, which has long been suffering from military actions. Restoring electricity supply is a critically important task, as the cold season creates additional difficulties for the population and social infrastructure.

The response of local authorities and coordination with central government bodies are key to responding to emergencies and meeting the needs of citizens.
