25 people poisoned with shawarma in Kalynivka
In Kalynivka, Vinnitsia region, 25 people were poisoned with shawarma, among whom were seven children. All the victims are in the hospital. This was reported by Andriy Salyuk, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the State Food Service in Vinnitsia region, as reported by the news agency

The catering establishment where people presumably bought the shawarma has suspended its operations.
Protocol and investigation
A protocol has been drawn up regarding the administrative offense for state control over compliance with food legislation. This may result in a fine of 56 thousand UAH.
The Director of the Vinnitsia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Ihor Matkovskyi, reported that their staff collected product samples for further analysis. An investigation is underway.
Recall that it was previously reported that a mass food poisoning of elementary school students occurred in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır. 53 students who returned home after lunch at school fell ill. They were taken to hospitals due to poisoning symptoms.
A family was also poisoned by mushrooms in Chernivtsi region, and the mother died.
The event in Kalynivka, where the shawarma poisoning occurred, has caused serious concern among the public and authorities. An investigation is being conducted to establish the causes and those responsible for this incident that led to so many cases of poisoning.
