The Ukrainian military medicine is actively implementing Western standards, adapting them to the conditions of modern warfare. This combination has led to the emergence of a new concept - 'medicine of the new war.'
The main aspects of cooperation include:
- Systematic approach: Medics consider the wounded as complex patients, which allows for effective assistance in various types of injuries.
- Modular system: A unified system of stabilization points has been created according to NATO standards with clear requirements for equipment and personnel.
- Blood transfusion: A blood transfusion system is actively being developed at the front for rapid response to injuries.
- Training: Doctors undergo training under the ASSET program to master the most modern methodologies for responding to critical situations.
NATO partners provide technical support - from evacuation means to first aid kits, which are fully stocked in the warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
