Housing for medical workers in frontline areas: new rules
From now on, healthcare institutions will be able to purchase housing for medical workers working not only in villages but also in cities in frontline areas using budget funds. The regions concerned are:
Donetsk;
Dnipropetrovsk;

Housing can be purchased in the settlement where the medical worker's workplace is located, or in the neighboring one — at a distance of up to 30 km. An apartment or house can also be chosen in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson, which are in the zone of active hostilities. At the same time, purchasing housing in other regional centers or in Kyiv is not provided for.

Official housing will be provided to medical workers for the duration of their work. UAH 100 million is allocated in the state budget for the implementation of this program for 2026.
Recall that the government also approved the implementation procedure for the Medical Guarantee Program for 2026. The total financing amounts to over UAH 191.6 billion. Funding for primary medical care will increase to UAH 29.5 billion, while the capitation rate per declared patient will rise to UAH 1007.3. Special emphasis is placed on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, cardiac surgery, and support for pediatric cardiac surgery.
